More Park City

Last week we went to Park City for a little getaway. It's always great to get away for a bit and have a change of scenery. And the scenery there was beautiful. Jake's mission comp. and good friend and his family came from Idaho and stayed a couple of nights with us in the condo. They have four darling girls. Our girls had a great time with them and Mckay handled all the ladies quite well. We went to the zoo one day, rode the alpine slide, swam at the condo, Jake did some mountain biking. All in all it was a great time, if only Mckay would have slept like a champ. 3:00 am drives up and down the freeway trying to get him to sleep. Good times.

 Headed to the zoo.

Kindergarten

Sadie with Mrs. Topham
Sadie has loved every minute of kindergarten this year. Her teacher was so wonderful. She has learned so much. The kindergarteners put on an end of year program for their families. Sadie played the part of a pigeon that wanted to drive the bus. She did such a good job with her part and sang her little heart out. She was so sad on the last day of school. She came home in tears.

Nine

Crazy that this girl is 9. Almost a decade old. For her birthday we decided on
a Luau. It was a lot of fun. So thankful for our Hallie girl and the sweet, smart, kind and beautiful girl that she is.

Aloha!

This boy...

This boy has got my heart, that's for sure.
He is a handful, he makes me crazy at times.
He really is quite naughty at times, but oh how I love him.
The other day as I was rocking him for his nap,
I watched his long eyelashing flutter open and shut and then finally close and
I thought about the last 6-9 months with this little man.
He has struggled in so many ways, he couldn't hear well, he couldn't talk
or communicate his needs.
He was frusterated, we were frusterated.
He was miserable.
He wasn't sleeping well at night.
He had surgery and still struggled for a while.
The last 2 1/2 months he has been doing so well.
Hearing better, understanding more, talking more and more everyday.
Healthy.
Happy.
Sleeping well at night.
We even got rid of the binky and he is doing great.
So thankful for time and what it can do,
and for this little man and all the rough and tumble he adds to my life.

Soccer

Sadie wanted to play soccer. She's had fun playing. She's the smallest one on her team
and has a hard time getting in there and being aggressive. Those older girls are pretty aggressive.
She like to play goalie, that's her favorite. It's been fun to watch her play.

Haircuts

They've got themselves a new look, hair chopped off and ready for summer.
We all love it. So much easier to manage.
