Back to Bloggin!

Wow! These last few weeks have been such a whirlwind I can hardly believe that May is almost over. I swear it just began. It's amazing how behind you get in in the bloggin world in just a couple weeks! At any rate here is my attempt to get caught up. Well we made the big move. We are here in our new home. It went really pretty smoothly too. Jake's parents were so kind to come out and help us move. Thank you so much for all that you did. It was so nice to have such great help. It was so great too for the girls to spend some time with them too since it had been almost a year! When we arived at Jake's parents house it was Hallie's birthday so Jake's sister bought her a princess cupcake cake and we celebrated!
We like our new place and we're just trying to adjust to a new life. We are loving being by family. Moving is always a mixture of emotions I think. There's the stress of the actual move and then there's the feelings of sadness to be leaving friends behind and also the excitement of what's ahead. I think we've felt all these feelings many times in the last few weeks. Hallie keeps saying, "I like my new house, but I miss my friends." I'll second that. I love it here, but I do miss what we just left, mostly all the great friends that we made there. Thanks to all of you for the impact that you have had on us and the great friends you have been to us. We will miss you! Thank heavens for Blogging! :)

Happy Birthday Hallie!

Eating cupcakes at Grandmas. Don't you just love that chocolatey smile?!

Home Sweet Home

Minneapolis!

I hope I spelled Minneapolis right. I'm a little embarassed that I don't know if that is the right spelling or not, but it's getting late and I don't want to bother finding out. Right before we moved we took a trip to Minneapolis with some friends of ours, Todd, Paris and little Dax. Our main objective was to see the Red Sox/Twins game and then of course the Mall of America! Man that place is awesome! Hallie really loved Nickelodeon Universe (an amusement park inside the Mall) and I of course loved the shopping. One day just wasn't enough there. I needed like a week to cover all four floors! I only made it through the first.
Jake of course was excited to see his beloved Sox play too! I was actually excited too, I've developed love for those Sox too. How can you not love Big Papi or Manny. Jake's parents actually flew in to Minneapolis to see the game too and then drove back home with us to help us move.
It was a really fun trip and I'm so glad that we were able to do it before we moved. Thanks Paris and Todd we had so much fun with you guys!

Hallie's four!!

I felt bad that we were moving on Hallie's birthday so I wanted to do a little something before with her friends before we moved. We had a Pinata and a giant cookie. I think she had a great time!
I can't believe my baby is four! It's a bitter sweet feeling watching your children grow. Exciting and fun as they learn new things and develop and grow, but sad at the same time knowing that there is no rewind, no going back. I guess it's just mother in me wanting to hang on to every moment, wanting time to stand still. I love my Hallie girl and I am so thankful that Heavenly Father has sent her to us. I am so thankful for her sweet little spirt and for the little person she is. She brings such joy to our family!
