Halloween and the Butch Cassidy 10K

Hallie and Sadie were both Fairies for Halloween this year. It was easy because we had all of the stuff. Hallie was a lot more excited this year because she understood the whole trick-or-treating concept. We set out and went to a few houses before the trunk-or-treat at our church. I wanted her to experience the true trick-or-treating that goes with being a kid. Trunk-or-Treats are such a great idea, but the door to door is so fun. Hallie loved it and Sadie was just happy to be there, wanted to eat every piece of candy that went into her bucket. Hallie kept saying, "I just love Halloween."
The next day after Halloween, it was the Butch Cassidy 10K and 5K walk down by Zions National Park. It's become a tradition in our family. My Mom has medaled in the 5K race walk every year, and this year wasn't any different. She upheld her title again this year! Good job Mom! It's such a fun race. Very low key, and beautiful scenery. My Aunt Sharon and Uncle Garth and cousin Spencer came down from Salt Lake To run in it too. It was such a great day!

Vampire Hallie

All ready to go trick-or-treating plus a little attitude from Miss Hallie.

The little "pixie". It was fun putting her hair into a little bun. I can't believe that it is long enough. I think it's the smallest bun that I have ever seen!

"Trick or Treat Yo!"

Everyone who participated. Notice the earrings that my brother Jordan is holding up. It was really funny because when he went to get his race number he was registered as a woman. They told him that it was too late to change anything so he ran as a woman. He took first place in the womens 15-18 age group. Then his name was drawn out to win a pair of earrings. Do you see a pattern here? We all had a good laugh over it.

A beautiful shot of Zions National Park.
