Test.....Over!!!!

There's a big feeling of relief at our house today. Yesterday Jake took his Occupational Therapy National Board Exam, which if he passes he will then officially be an Occupational Therapist. He's put in a lot of hours study for this thing. We are both just so happy that it is over! Now we just have to wait and find out if he passed. Hopefully on Friday he will find out. I'm really proud of him and all the hard work he has put in to get to this point.
On another note... I think Hallie has been struggling with the fact that she has a little sister that wants to do everything she does and is always following her around because she had her teachers at school help her make this sign, and then she hung it on the door. Everytime Sadie would get near her stuff she would say, "Sadie read the sign!" Last night when I was putting the girls to bed Hallie let out a huge grunt. I asked her what was wrong and she said, "I'm just frusterated." I asked her why and she said,"It's hard having a sister. She's always wants to do what I want to do and she's always getting into my stuff." I tried to point out all the benefits of having a sister. I asked her if she felt better and she said, "No, I'm still frusterated." So today we made a little secret hiding place in the closet where Hallie can put her "special" things. She then moved the sign to the closet door. Oh the joys of Motherhood! Hopefully this will help with the frusteration.

They Say it's your Birthday

I'm pretty behind in posting what we've been up to. I just haven't been that into blogging lately, but here are some pictures of Sadie's birthday. She turned two on December 19th. This seriously kills me that she is two. It has flown by. It's very fitting that her middle name is "Rae" because she really is a little Ray of Sunshine. She really is happy most of the time and is always making us laugh. She is our comic relief around here. She's full of spunk, a little mischievious, and has a very tender little heart. She loves her sister Hallie and always wants to be where she is doing what she is doing. She's figured out that she can pretty much get what she wants when she wraps those little arms around your neck and kisses you right on the lips and is good and making a deal--a kiss and a hug for your bowl of ice cream or a big bowl of Ramen noodles. She loves her Daddy and totally has him wrapped around her little finger. She's sad when Jake has to leave for work or to study and says, "I come." We love her so much and are so thankful that she is part of our family! I love spending my days with her and Hallie and seeing their uniqueness and individualality grow and develop each day.

This is the first time I've ever really spent a lot of time and effort on a Birthday cake. It was pretty fun, but I was kind of sad when we cut into it.

Anyone seen the Birthday girl?

This makes me smile....
