Bubble Trouble

The girlies took their Saturday night bath and wanted bubbles. They got a little out of hand (the bubbles that is).

Daddy's helper

We woke up to snow on Saturday. It was so pretty outside. Sometimes I complain about the cold and the snow, but I really do love living in a place where we have seasons. Each season offers change and beauty to enjoy.

Bling Bling I have earrings!

Hallie has been asking if she could get her ears pierced and kept asking when she could get them pierced. How do you decide this kind of stuff as a parent? When is the right age? Anyhow we surprised her on Friday by taking her to get them pierced. She was so excited and brave. She has worn her hair back everyday since so that her little ears can be sure to be seen. She's even got the cleaning part down. She can pretty much do it by herself. We'll see if lasts the required 6 weeks.

Sadie holding Hallie's hand so she'll be brave.

Hallie wanted Daddy's hand to hold instead.

Sadie's prayer

Sadie took a pretty good tumble in the garage the other day and got a pretty good owie on her knee. Last night after we had said family prayers, Sadie said,"Heavenly Father help my owie, I ask him." So she said a little prayer that went like this,"Dear Heavenly Father, my owie hurts. Please help it feel better. Amen."

Randomness

Wow two days in a row of blogging. I don't think that has ever happened! This year I really want to make my blog more journal like so that I can just print it off and call it good. So with that said I'm going to try my best to document the little details and such that someday I will be really glad that I took a minute to blog about it. Anyways...
Hallie is so full of random thoughts. It makes me laugh when I think about all the things that she says throughout the day. I love that she says exactly what she's thinking at that exact moment, something that can get you into trouble later in life, but it's pretty darn funny and cute when you are 5.
Today at lunch this is what Hallie said, "Sadie, Tarzan doesn't dress very modest. He only wears panties. Or are they called underpants when you are a boy? I don't know, but it's okay that he's not modest because he lives in the jungle. People aren't modest in there."
A few seconds later, "Boys can do girl things and girls can do boy things right Mom?"
A few more seconds later," I need to get going on my Valentines, Valentines is coming up.....I think for my Birthday party this year I want a Hannah Montana party, just a family party this year and we can sing to the songs from the movie together.....April is after February right Mom? and then comes May?"
And so it goes on until it is time for school and then continues when she gets home. It's a little exhausting at times, but life would be so quiet and boring without these little ones right? I love my chattie Hallie girl.

To the dark side...

I just had to know what it was like, being brunette and all. All my life I've been a blonde. It's still a little crazy when I walk past a mirror, but it's growing on me. Sadie tells just about everyone, "My mommy has black hair." I probably won't keep it like this forever, but it is fun to have something different. Now I will test the theory of Blondes having more fun. It's been a pretty fun week so far so I don't know!

Hallie's really in to taking pictures lately. She was telling Sadie and I to "hug with lots of love!"

Little Utah Sadie! Jake bought both of the girls little Utah basketball shorts which they look adorable in and the shirt she is wearing was my brother Jordan's shirt from when he was a little tyke. I guess that would make it darn near vintage! Can't believe my baby brother is sooo old. Sorry Jordan, but it's true.
