31 weeks

It's getting closer, feeling pretty good and feeling pretty large. :) Today I was doing Sadie's hair for church and she kept saying,"Mom move your belly, it's getting in the way!"  She also now refers to me as her "Big Mama". What can I say, it's true. This little guy is very active and I love feeling him squirm about.
Still don't have a name picked out yet. Thinking thinking....
Considering:
Boston Dru (Hallie's favorite)
Corbin Brooks ( I like this one, Jake not so much)
Brooks Jacob ( Jake likes this one, I'm concerned people will think it's a girls' name)
Cooper (Sadie's favorite)
Trace Jacob
Jace
and last but not least,
Lamar - already given to him by his Uncle Jordan, even before we knew he was a boy. I'm pretty sure this one won't make the cut. :)

Just stopping to smell the roses

Nine years and counting...

Nine years ago today we were married. Nine years...sheesh! I'm feeling a little old. I remember that day so well. It really was the happiest day of my life. The temple has just reopened in time after being closed due to 911. Amongst lots of tumoil and saddness for many people Sep.13, 2001 was a day of happiness and peace for us. And there's been many to follow.  I'd be lying if I said it's been nine years of pure bliss, but like President Hinkley said, "Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he has been robbed.... Life is an old time rail journey--delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts,  interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."
I'm thankful for this 9 year ride so far and look forward to what's to come.
In nine years we've:
spent 7 years in school
moved 6 times
had 2 kids, one in the oven
moved into our first house
many trips to Lake Powell
been to 3 major league baseball games
watched lots of Red Sox games
lots of Utah games
lots of trips to Cafe Rio
made lots of friends together
shared lots of laughs and some tears too.
I love you Jake. Thanks for the ride. I'm a lucky girl to have you. Happy Anniversary!

First day of preschool

Sadie had her first day of preschool on Tuesday. She goes Tues. and Thurs. for 2 hours. Ever since Hallie started school she's been counting down the days until it's her turn. Finally it came. She was so excited and got her clothes all ready the night before, (a skirt of course!). She marched right into the classroom with her backpack on and a little sass in her step, because she was a big girl now, because big girls go to school. (She kept telling me that all morning as we were getting ready) She loved it and cried on Wednesday when I told her there was no school that day.

Shower caps to curlers

I put the girls' hair in curlers the other day. It took a reeaally long time. They looked so cute in their little curlers. Unfortanately the curl didn't last too long and I didn't get a picture of them in their curls.
