This is before they hard casted it. Poor girl could barely lift it.
Purple fancy hard cast.
Sadie had a fall at the park. She was doing the monkey bars and fell off and caught her fall with her arm. We debated for a bit on whether or not to take her in to instacare, we weren't really sure if it was actually broken.. We thought we would wait until morning (Saturday) and then take her in if she was still in pain. Well it got worse as the night went on and at midnight we were in the ER. The x-rays said she fractured her ulna and radius. It was good that it wasn't a buckle fracture. They soft casted it and then on Monday we took her to the Orthapedic surgeon and they put the hard cast on. He told her 4-6 weeks probably. She's a tough little thing and it doesn't even phase her anymore that she has a cast. I have to remind her to be careful. She though the cast was pretty cool for the first couple of days and loved all the attention, but after a few days of having the cast, when I asked her how her arm was feeling, she said, "Oh mom, I'm tired of talking about my arm, let's not talk about it anymore ok." She's tired of telling"the monkey bar story".
